My Supports
Support that I receive on a daily basis is from my family. My husband supports and loves me unconditionally every day. He is wonderful about listening to me when I need an ear. He is there to back me with work or school and we support each other in raising our children. Together we work and provide for our family. Monetarily our paychecks support our needs and wants. My parents are also very supportive of me. They provided for me and helped to shape me into the person and parent I am today. I know that if I need anything they are only a call away and they would help in any way they can. Without the support of my family I don’t know that I would be where I am today. I am very grateful for everything and everyone.
At work my team of teachers and I support each other as we provide a nurturing and learning environment for our students and partnership with our parents.
I think a challenge that would be difficult for me would be the gift of sight. I can’t imagine waking up each morning not being able to see my children and their beautiful faces. The gift of each day would be much different not being able to see what each day had to offer. There are many things that I would not be able to do or at least not the same way that I live today.
If we view life optimistically challenges are merely obstacles or tests that will continue to strengthen are characters. Just as my supports have been there for me and will continue to be there I know that they would support me through any challenge that I may be presented with. My life would be different but I hope that I wouldn’t back down to the challenge.
Great post! Like you I don't know where I would be without my supports. It is almost like they are our rocks.
ReplyDeleteWe have similar supports. I really found the challenge you chose to think about. I'm not sure what I would do if I lost my sight. You really made us all think about the important things we all take for granted, like our eye sight.
ReplyDeleteGreat post emily. I to look to my husband and children for support everyday. I think my husband has been a major support for me over the years.
